"Can you tell me more about how this therapist will work with me"
Welcome to our therapy services! We understand that each therapy session is unique, just like each individual. If you any concerns about whether your therapist can meet your needs, we encourage you to jot down any questions you may have and bring them to your session. This first meeting is all about ensuring that you feel confident and comfortable with the support you will receive.
"Do I need a GP referral or Mental Health Care Plan to see a provisional psychologist or counsellor? "
No. Provisional psychologists and counsellors are not eligible for Medicare rebates, and sessions do not require a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP. You can book directly.

For best practice and continuity of care, we encourage clients to involve their GP where appropriate so they are aware of the support being provided.
"Is this confidential?"
Everything you talk about in your therapy session stays between the two of you! The exception to this is if you plan on harming yourself, or someone else. It is our priority to ensure your safety and other people's safety.
"I'm nervous about my first session"
Starting therapy can feel daunting and overwhelming. You might have questions such as, "What should I expect?", "What should I say?", "Will I be judged?"... Remember, the therapy session is all about you. As therapists, we are here to support your unique needs and help you reach your goals, however that looks for you.
"What if I don't feel comfortable saying something?"
That's completely understandable! You have the freedom to share as much or as little as you wish. Your therapist does not expect you to say something you don't want to say.
"How do I find your building?"
We’re located on Level 3 of HQ Robina. For easy navigation, search “HQ Robina” or “HQ@Robina” in Google Maps or your preferred map app—this will guide you directly to our building. Look for signage near the main entrance, and feel free to contact us if you need help on arrival.
"What to expect?"
You don't need to have it figured out- you just need to show up. We will support you through the rest.
“Is the clinic open on weekends?”
Our clinic is open for Saturday bookings with our counsellor, Matt Sutton. Please note that HQ@Robina is closed to the public on weekends, but Matt will meet you downstairs and usher you inside for your counselling session. Other services are not available on Saturdays.
