My Story
Matt Sutton is a registered Counsellor (Australian Counselling Association, Level 1), who is dedicated to supporting individuals in navigating life's challenges with empathy and understanding. He aims to create a safe environment and work collaboratively to help clients achieve their goals.
Matt has a special interest in working with men's mental health, individuals affected by alcohol and other drugs (such as addiction, or in recovery for addiction), ADHD, trauma, depression, and anxiety. His work is deeply informed by his own lived experience with mental health — a journey that fuels his commitment to walk alongside others as they find their strength and resilience.

Over the years, he has worked across various counselling roles, residential youth care, and suicide prevention through The Way Back Support Service. His experience has allowed him to build strong connections with social and community services across the Gold Coast — resources he often draws on to ensure clients receive the support they need, both in and beyond the therapy room.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys gaming, anime, sports, and spending time at the beach — a balance that helps him stay grounded and connected to the things he loves.
